Strawberry and Chocolate Fritters

Ingredients

Strawberries 

Chocolate chips of your choice - I used dark because I love it but others would work

Vegan Batter - Recipe below 

Vegetable or sunflower oil to fry

Batter Ingredients

•  1 cup Plain flour

• 2 tablespoons sugar

• 1 teaspoon baking powder

• 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

• 1/4 teaspoon salt

• 3/4 cup non-dairy milk (such as oat, soy, or coconut milk)

• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil

1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt.

2. Add the non-dairy milk, vanilla extract, and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients. Mix well until you have a smooth batter. If the batter is too thick, you can add a bit more non-dairy milk to achieve the desired consistency.

The How to Bit 

1. Hull your strawberries so you leave a hole in the middle. I used a straw to hull mine. 

2. Fill the hole with your Vegan chocolate of choice.

3. Heat a pan of Sunflower oil 

4. Roll the strawberries in the batter and drop them carefully into the hot oil frying until golden brown. 

5. Serve with ice cream.
