JASMINE European Collaboration pre-kick off meeting
Place:Room CE0.18 on the ground floor of the Gorlaeus building of the Faculty of Science, Leiden University.
Einsteinweg 55, 2333 CC Leiden, Netherland
Dates:27 (Thur), 28 (Fri) November 2025
Rationale:
The Japan Astrometry Satellite Mission for INfrared Exploration( JASMINE) is an M-class science space mission selected by the Institute of Space and Astronautical Science (ISAS), the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), with launch planned for 2032. The JASMINE team in Japan is preparing for the Project Preparation Review scheduled for late 2025, after which there will be opportunities to strengthen collaboration with the European community to maximize the scientific return of the Galactic center survey. This meeting aims to provide an update on the mission’s status and to explore potential avenues for collaboration with European researchers interested in astrometric data analysis and Galactic center science.
