Renée continues her membership in the sorority Phi Sigma Sigma and served on the Panhellenic Council. Renée worked at the U.S. Coast Guard Headquarters as an intern and became an expert in environmental compliance. She turned 20 and continues college at Worcester Polytechnic Institute studying Environmental Engineering with a minor in Law. Renée made the Dean‘s List. She’s coxswain of Men’s Crew team and raced in the New England Championships to place first to take home the gold medal. Her team also placed third in the ECAC for the bronze. Renée also raced in the Head of the Charles and enjoyed Cambridge. She visited many Washington DC sights including Arlington National Cemetery on Veterans Day. Got frequent flyer miles?
Travis did independent study at Keene State College and moved back home. He was studying History and Geography and is thinking about what to focus on for his next phase. Travis has let his hair grow very long again and plays guitar at a local nightclub. He has been working and looking for better jobs. Travis and Meredith went their separate ways a few months ago. Travis turned 23 in October and is ready to start skiing Vermont once it starts snowing. He still has his New Hampshire drivers license and is planning to vote in the upcoming primary in the Live Free or Die state. Times are a changing and he is connecting back with old friends like Mitch. Remember the dude that looks like Russell Crowe?
Joe will join AARP in 2 weeks. He is getting ready to celebrate a big birthday milestone very soon. Joe has been expanding the IslandEnviro reach on Twitter. Joe and Margie have been together for 3 years now. They enjoy escaping to Vermont and have started snowshoeing at Mount Snow. Joe still goes downhill skiing every time there‘s a snowstorm. The Branch Head job with the Navy is challenging and he is now in charge of the Surface Ship SONAR Foreign Military Sales program. Joe went to Tokyo for work with the Japanese Navy and will go back soon. He still does recruiting for both the Navy Undersea Warfare and Florida Tech at college fairs. Joe is glad Hurricane Irene didn’t destroy Cedar Island and super happy that he never lost power. Joe likes to play Words With Friends on his iPod touch. Have you played Words with Alec Baldwin?
Merry Christmas 2011 and Happy New Year!
Joe, Travis, and Renée
