This past year 2010 was one of recovery and new adventures. It was the year of Birthday in Vermont, KSC, Keene NH, WPI, Grand Summit, Lady from Germany, Powder Day, kitten, MGM, Rascal Flatts, Kid Rock, C.I. Joe, 19, LCS-3, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, USS Independence, 22, Cedar Island picnic, DDG, Uncle Rich, Cedar Island Environmental, crew, New England Championships silver medal, SNA, Captain‘s visit to CI, Margie, SWOS, Head of the Charles, Wolf Den, Waterford Thanksgiving, Boston, FIT, Dean’s List, Facebook, manatee at Clinton Harbor, Eddie's 40th birthday, Zack, 40 years on Cedar Island, Benjamin Franklin puppy, LCS-2, USS McFaul, hey bulldog, Connecticut Sun, Navy and Stonington Vineyards!
Renée became a member of the sorority Phi Sigma Sigma and led the Parent Relations Committee. Renée worked at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center as a summer intern and became an expert in soil mechanics. She turned 19 and continues college at Worcester Polytechnic Institute studying Environmental Engineering. She's coxswain of Men’s Crew team. She raced in the New England Championship to place second to take home the silver medal. Renée also raced in the Head of the Charles and her boat was in an accident with University of Vermont (video on Joe’s Flickr). She visited her boyfriend, Zack, in Sedgwick, Maine on Memorial Day weekend and was surprised to find Portland, ME the half-way point. Got AAA?
Travis continued his college tour at Keene State College and moved into a bigger apartment with Meredith in Swanzey, New Hampshire. He is studying History and Geography, made the Dean‘s List and plays his many guitars. Travis has bounced back and recovered from extensive surgery last year. He vacationed in Florida after Christmas last year to start his recovery. Travis and Meredith got a french bulldog and her name is Moose. They are going on a Caribbean cruise to kick-off the new year aboard the Norwegian Gem with Meredith's family. Travis turned 22 in October and is ready to start skiing New Hampshire. Do you skiboard?
Joe joined Facebook in October after seeing The Social Network. He is connecting to old friends since Kindergarten. And he has been making new friends on Twitter. Joe and Margie have been going to concerts, movies, cooking and swimming together. She likes summer and he loves winter, interesting pair. Joe has made it a ritual to see Esteban jam everytime he visits locally. An amazing guitar session everytime. The Branch Head job with the Navy is challenging and he started a program with the Surface Warfare Officers School (SWOS). A friend who commands a navy destroyer ship came to visit Newport last month. Joe had a blast on their boat. He did recruiting for both the Navy Undersea Warfare and Florida Tech at college fairs.
