To earn the rank of Lion, your scout needs a Lion Adventure Handbook to begin working on the Lion Trail. Below is an outline of the material covered in the handbook.
Note: Some of these activities are done at home and signed off by the parent after the child has completed the task. The handbook should be shown to the Den Leader - who records and tracks his progress.
Note: There are no performance requirements for completing tasks. Simply participating and doing one's best in an activity constitutes completion.
The Lion Trail (the program)
In order to earn the rank of Lion, your child should follow the "Lion Trail" by completing the five required adventures and the child protection exercise with a parent/guardian.
This is how our scouts follow the Lion Trail to receive their Lion Badge...
A. Lion Adventures
B. Child Protection exercise with a parent/guardian.
After completing the above requirements, the Lion patch is awarded for earning the rank.
Outside of the requirements, Lion Scouts can also complete any number of seven elective adventures of their den’s or family’s choosing. Click Here to see the Lion Electives.
