John (Jan) Breitenmoser
31 years sub-superintendent of H-A. Worked in Lebanon plant in Efficiency Dept., left in 1916 to work in South River plant. Lived in "West New Brighton" in 1915, possibly working at H-A's Staten Island mill.
1916 strike lone demand was to fire Breitenmoser.
He was noted as being the "assistant supervisor" and "foreman" (town register) in 1917, the year of the final strike.
Appointed superintendent in 1919 when business was briefly re-opened and "manager" duirng the period when the company was only distributing "home work" in town.
Manager of (Charles) Herrmann Embroidery in the 1920s.
Owned his own embroidery shop (or took over Herrmann's) with son John, Jr., on Old Bridge Turnpike (Tanners Corner/East Brunswick).

Swiss embroidery and machinist, headed H-A Machinist Dept. Member of Workingmens Sick Benefits Lodge. Later operated his own embroidery factory on his own property in South River. Died August, 1922. Resident of SR for over quarter of a century.
