Have been using the Samsung Galaxy S (SGS) since July 2010 and the Samsung Galaxy Tab (Tab) since January 2011.

Have found the following apps useful. Click on the App links below to open the same on the Android market.

Sign in, if required, and push the same to your Android device, instead of pulling it, to make everything that much faster. Have found this to be especially useful when i upgraded to Gingerbread 2.3.7; i could push all the apps to my SGS in less than 10 minutes!

Remarks

Since the Tab doesn't come with an audio recorder, got this excellent app. Very convenient for sharing audio snippets with friends & family over WhatsApp.

Ideal, with newspapers now printing ads with QR codes.

The actual Kindle is, of course, much better.

The only thing that gets my goat is the clunky interface while trying to open a new page.

Reduced my time on the desktop no end!

Very strange that the Tab doesn't come with a Calculator app, but this one more than fills that gap. Strongly reminds me of those Casio calculators that we used in the early 1980s!

Very useful to share docs with family and friends

Know where the North is

Very easy-to-use interface on the Android, with the complexity (policies, categories, tags, etc.) relegated to the background/desktop.

A veritable feast for the senses

Neat interface featuring info about the restau, the menu card (!), photos, map.

The only thing missing are the Directions; can provide a hook into Google Maps, if that's not possible within Zomato itself.

Ideal for the Samsung Galaxy S Forum.

Very convenient; all the great apps in one place. Ideal for keeping an eye on apps that aren't yet fully released for your country such as:

You can send free SMSs even to those not on JaxtrSMS.

Ideal for calling up folks in the US, at 2¢ a minute

Create multiple groups (max 10) with up to 10 persons in each for an ultra-free experience! Ideal for our early-morning baddy group.

Love it as your location can be shared on demand and for a time interval only.

Don't leave home without it ;-)

Record routes and share them

Nice to choose between movies while renting them out

After the upgrade to Gingerbread 2.3.7 clobbered the Samsung Music app on my SGS.

Neat interface on how how you can drill-down to an article.

Great interface to explore friends

A must-have app, for seamlessly accessing the pics of your friends, wherever they might be.

Very neat interface for shooting pan-o-rama.

You can also try the free Photaf Panorama.

Becomes much better as you use it; you can type as fast as you think

Ditto

Secure your Google Account even more. Requires a Barcode Scanner.

Breathe easy

Love the intuitive interface; it even caught a malware that Lookout Security and Antivirus missed.

Nice way to explore old photos shot in the area where you are.

Nice for finding places "near me".

What do you call a Telugu guy who's crazy about the Android? An Andhroid ;-)

The best part is how easily you can get the details for some date in the past / future.

Nice quick reference for folks who can read Telugu.
