Wow, does time fly at times. This year I have only posted one time, waaaayyy back in January?! I either didn't have the time, or didn't make the time to post. I have to say, FSX and Prepar3D got neglected really bad by me this year. There was talk also about closing the SOAR - International Virtual Soaring Society site and/or making it a place for people to just download stuff if I remember right. I lost contact with the owners of the site, thinking that they may have accidentally spammed my email possibly, I cannot explain it. I have actually not updated that site in almost a year as well. Maybe I can turn things around this coming year to get that site "back on the map", who knows. Wolfgang Piper, over at www.fsglider.de , is still hard at it adding and updating his Microsoft Flight Simulator aircraft. Three of his latest updates were this past month. So if you haven't been there for a while, you may see that one or more of the aircraft you have from him has been updated, so get on over there and have another look around when you find the time.

FaceTrackNoIR v1.7 did finally come out early this past year, and worked wonderfully. Since then I have been in and out of beta testing opentrack, which is a child of FaceTrackNoIR, in both Windows and Linux/Ubuntu. Yes, I've actually converted 2-3 of my old computers to use the Ubuntu operating system this past year, and was pleasantly surprised and am glad I made the change, even though I still use my Windows computers the most. Linux/Ubuntu operating systems really have some advantages.

rFactor2 beta is now just rFactor2. It is at build 342, and has come a long ways. I'm still awaiting a NASCAR mod though, but that could still be a while. Stock Car Evolution is the one I'm looking forward to, which at last check, they were still trying to get a good tire model produced for their NASCAR mod. It's definitely something to look forward to this coming year for rFactor2!

That's all for now, but I'll try my hardest to be back to see the new year come in!
