Mariana Băran (Mihalecze)

RomaniaThanks to her profession as a school psychologist Mariana shared her experience with us during various trainings and exciting conversations. We will all remember her fantastic performance as a foodie during the exercise on teamwork and leadership "Royal Ball". Clicking on the video on the second following page you can watch how she surprised and entertained us with her brilliant idea of drawing the attention on her originally marginal character in this play. Encouraged by the workshop in the near future she would like to develop small projects for seniors.

Vineta Berzina

Latvia, Great Britain Vineta who comes from Latvia, but lives in England admits that the workshop was a big step in her life as a senior. She benefited personally from learning new internet tools and thanks to the contacts with seniors from other countries, she realised the importance of a knowledge-based exchange. After the workshop she as wants to get in touch with other seniors in Latvia and share her new skills and knowledge with them.

Paddy Early

Ireland Paddy, our numerology expert of finding the strong and weak sides in each of us, contributed a lot to the workshop with his profound attitude towards intergenerational communication and his well-balanced lifestyle. Moreover he has an impressive agenda of disseminating skills and knowledge he gained during the workshop that includes writing articles, running workshops on intergenerational initiatives, blogging and setting up a mentoring programme to encourage intergenerational progress. We are delighted and keep our fingers crossed for Paddy!

ItalyFranca, an architect by profession, is very much involved in the youth programmes in her local town Trebisacce, both as a teacher in a local high school and in her association "Passagi". The new experiences she gained in Kraków were a significant incentive for these both areas of her activities: she is going to initiate an European mobility project in her association and share her computer and internet skills wih other teachers at her school, who often lack good command of English and information about mobility opportunities in the EU. Vlasta Ivić

SloveniaVlasta is a full-time journalist with lots of energy to work, learn and share her experience with others. She was a driving force of many group exercises and personal exchanges during the workshop. We will remember her as a natural born leader and we are happy that she will make use of her new skills to make her own blog in Slovenia.Ekaterina Gyurova

Bulgaria For Ekaterina, translator and bookkeeper by profession, the participation in the project was a great opportunity to improve notably her computer skills as she didn't feel confident enough using some modern communication channels before. She was also very eager in visiting Poland as her family has Polish origins and she was always been interested in the Polish people and culture. She aims to share gained knowledge with her husband and close friends, as well as to communicate better with her children and relatives abroad. She will continue her trip to Poland this Autumn.

Eva Martínkova

Czech RepublicEva is a retired journalist and a very active senior, not only because of visiting the Third Age University in Prague for physical activity. As a leader of Club 55+ in her municipality Velké Přílepy that provides plenty of activities for seniors, she will have a great opportunity to implement knowledge she gained during the workshop on leadership and teamwork. LatviaAlso Galina is retired and has lots of senior friends in Riga, who she would like to share her computer and interpersonal knowledge with. Developing her personal skills, increasing the mobility and traveling (not only) in Europe, as well as communicating via modern technologies were her strong motivation to participate in the workshop. SloveniaMarija is an experienced volunteer not only in her local community: she was involved in projects in Germany, as well as was volunteering in a catholic mission in Peru! ItalyNicola is already experienced in the previous Grundtvig projects and was very enthusiastic about participating in the workshop in Poland also to get to know better the history and culture of this country. As a retired literature teacher Nicola would like not only make use of the skills he gained in Kraków, but also promote knowledge about Poland in his home town Bari.

Tuomo Sanaslahti

FinlandAs Tuomo got retired two days before the workshop, he had a great opportunity to celebrate the beginning this new stage in his life by learning new things and getting know fascinating people in a European dimension! Indeed he benefited very much from the programme, especially in the area of intercultural exchange finding out lots of new facts about senior life in the new member countries of the European Union. As a freshly-baked pensioner he would like to share also this dimension to the other seniors in his region.

Vítězslava Cihlářová

Czech RepublicAlso Vita enjoyed the workshop in full swing and admits it was a great stimulus for her further development at home. She will continue practicing and learning internet and computer tools as well as sharing her knowledge with others. Moreover, as a retired German teacher and volunteer, she wants to encourage seniors in her local church community and is even considering cooperating with other seniors in Poland!
