You must submit your essay at the time of your recommendation. It’s as important as any other part of your grading process, so you must follow the outlines set here. If it’s incorrect when you hand it in for your recommendation, you will have to wait until the next grading date. To avoid any problems be sure to bring your essay to class at least a week ahead of time, so that it can be reviewed.
(You may hear others call this your resume.)
General formatting:
Two pages double-spaced (must be TYPED)
Use white 8.5" x 11" paper (letter)
1" margin
12pt font (Times New Roman)
NO bold, underlining, or italics
On first page:
On top left corner type "To: Hanshi G. Legacy"
Center the essay topic at top of first page with sentence capitalization
On last page:
Type your name and date of recommendation on the second page in the lower right corner leaving space above your name to sign. Hand write your signature above your typed name.
Do NOT staple pages together. Fold pages together in thirds
Place in plain white business envelope (4" x 9") and write "To: Hanshi G. Legacy" on the front of the envelope
Place $60 fee in envelope.... Do not seal the envelope
