Saltwater State Park

Updated 9/22/2021

Small but secluded Saltwater State Park's 87 acres encompasses the ravine of McSorley Creek and a quarter mile of Puget Sound waterfront. A large campground is located in the park if you want to stay there overnight. Several miles of trail ramble along the north and south sides of the ravine. A fine destination to soothe your bus riding urges.

Getting There

Ride Link Light Rail to Tukwila Station. Transfer to Rapid Ride A, and ride it to S 252nd Street.

Walk west on S 252nd, north on 20th Ave S, then west again on S 250th Street. Turn left on 16th Ave S and walk to the entrance of the park.

The Hike

The park is too small to recommend any specific hiking route. Just follow your nose and explore. From the park entrance, walk along the driveway into the park. The road quickly descends down to the bottom of the McSorley Creek ravine. There you have a choice of destinations. Walk over to the beach, follow the driveway into the ravine where the campground is located, or hike along the north and south rim trails.

Getting Back

Walk to Pacific Highway on the recommended route and catch Rapid Ride A northbound to Tukwilla Station, then Link Light Rail to Seatte.
