ALL APPLICATIONS MUST BE MAILED TO THE SEA POST OFFICE BOX (address below).
Scholarship application reminders:
1. You must be a member of the SEA for your child to be eligible to apply for a scholarship.
2. Applicants must submit a formal resume of activities, work, volunteer experience, and extracurricular involvement.
3. Applicants must submit a typed personal statement (250 words or less). An applicant’s personal statement should present a picture of who they are as a person, a student, and a potential scholarship recipient.
4. Applicants must submit a high school or college transcript that includes cumulative GPA.
5. Applications for:
a. Graduating high school seniors must include a copy of the acceptance letter from the institution of higher learning.
b. Returning college students (undergraduate only, graduate students are not eligible at this time) must include an official document indicating intent to return. Acceptable
“intent to return” documentation includes:
- course registration and schedule for the 2026-2027 school year
- receipt of room and board or housing deposit for the 2026-2027 school year
6. Scholarships are awarded based on the costs associated with the institution provided on the application; it is expected that the student will attend the institution cited on the application.
7. The term “academic year” begins with the fall semester of 2026. Second semester disbursements will require a transcript of first semester grades.
8. An email will be sent to the SEA member confirming receipt of the application.
9. Please check all financial information provided on the application for accuracy. Honest evaluation of your individual circumstances helps ensure an equitable awards program for all. Candidates are evaluated anonymously; all financial information submitted remains strictly confidential.
10. Any late or incomplete applications will not be considered for awards.
