Want to have students code their own simulations?
Want to have students code their own simulations?
Scratch is a great tool for simulations because it is easy to learn and all students' work is saved on the site and easily shared with others. Also the block coding is widely used, so many students will already have experience through activities on Code.org and other sites.
But it is likely that some of your students will need time to learn Scratch. In our experience, a typical middle school students needs 1-2 hours of practice with Scratch before they are confident to start making simulations. Here are some resources for both teachers and students to try.
