SciWrite Tip of a day: Most images in Google are copyrighted. Do not use such images in your paper, even if you provide attribution, without obtaining a consent from the owner. Otherwise, you may encounter retraction or penalties in future after the paper has been published. To be on the safe side, select the option labeled for noncommercial reuse with modification, which allows you to reuse and modify the image under non-commercial constraints. Alternatively, you may need to make your own images for use in the paper.
===> We should understand the types of licenses, copyright categories, before using the images
This issue pertains also to images downloaded through word document, power-point, or excel
In Word, do not forget to select Creative Commons only, the type of licence that allows you to reuse the image for non-commercial applications.
We, scholars, also need to understand, at least at a high level, the types of licenses associated with our publications, images downloads,....publishers,.....
