RED HALO

Who is Red Halo you may wonder? Well, Red Halo is a Shamokin based rock band who covers modern to classic rock, southern rock, as well as original songs. The band consists of members, Al Dobson, Lee Lentes, Ed Mertz, and Scott Slodysko. All the members of Red Halo have been playing since a young age and been dedicated to their music.  These musicians are no stranger to performing they have a fantastic stage presence and won't disappoint. 

                Al Dobson plays bass guitar and does vocals for the band and has been playing for thirty-five years. He has been playing in nightclubs since the age of fourteen and is still going!  Al's music has been played on mainstream radio stations throughout PA, NY, and NJ. His love for performing is very clear by his energy that is shown onstage.

                In addition to Al, Lee Lentes also does vocals and guitar for Red Halo. Lee has been playing the guitar since he was just eight years old! He has been writing songs since fifteen and became a well-known local guitarist and composer. He has played both nationally and internationally, most recently playing in The Valley Boys. He has also recorded and released solo albums, but is now the driving force in Red Halo. 

                To add another guitar player to the mix we have Ed Mertz.  He started his career playing guitar at the age of fourteen and stuck with it! Ed has played in many local bands and recorded original songs with local artists. His style of playing made him the perfect fit for Red Halo. 

                Scott Slodysko brings everything together as Red Halo's drummer. Scott grew up surrounded by music and began to play drums at twelve. He is self-taught and started from polka to punk!  He is fantastic to watch with his style of drumming with hand tricks. Scott has been with Red Halo since they formed and is a valued member of the band.

                The band released a new single on February 6th with an interview on ourtownradio.net. They will also be releasing their new album on March 29th with tour dates to follow. So keep an eye out for Red Halo!
