Basic supplies, seeds and plants are always available from the big box stores: WalMart, Lowes and Home Depot. However, there are many better or more cost-effective places in the area and on the internet. Here is a starter list with clickable links.
Seedlings
Our club offers many starter seedlings from our greenhouse. Come to a Thursday 9:00 coffee and see what we have.
Hubbell's Nursery is just down the road past the interstate. They sometimes have veggie seedlings and things like blueberry plants.
Earthbox Store in Ellenton has Florida friendly and low cost starter plants such as tomato (Charger), broccoli, cabbage, strawberry and eggplant.
Shell's Feed and Garden Supply in Tampa has a few seedlings.

Earthboxes, Raised Beds and Pots
Earthbox Store in Ellenton has earthboxes and supplies.
Gardeners Supply Company (not local) has raised beds and other garden equipment.
Greenhouse Megastore (not local) has large plastic pots (up to 27 gallons).
Soil Amendments
Shell's Feed and Garden Supply in Tampa has dolomite, organic chicken-manure based fertilizer and perlite by the large bag.
Fungicides and Pesticides
Hubbell's Nursery in Ruskin has some fungicides and pesticides.
Shell's Feed and Garden Supply in Tampa has Thuricide (organic to kill worms) by the gallon.
