Bellydance for Everybody

I'm Claire Hunter and I am inviting you to share my love of bellydance. Originating in the Middle East, evolved through time, culture and artistry, there is a style of "bellydance" for almost everyone. You could soon be dancing proud saiidi; earthy, voluptuous baladi; sassy shaabi; graceful, delicate orientale and Raqs Sharqui; magically synchronous ATS/ITS or kooky, serpentine tribal fusion. 

Traditional Arabic styles are gentle on your body, bringing strength, posture and flexibility within the natural range of movement. It's a street party dance we are waiting for you to join us! At the other end of the scale, the performance driven styles require great technical ability, artistry and physical fitness. If you aspire to perform, I can help you gain the tools you need to take your dance to the stage.

Dance is the ultimate expression of music, emotion and our inner selves. Our bodies speak a language that transcends speech and crosses barriers. I feel proud and privileged to share this with you.

You're in safe hands

You only have one body, and I understand your need to look after it. I am an experienced dancer and teacher, with foundation training and CPD from JWAAD. I am an affiliate member of the JWAAD teachers association. I am fully insured and have an updated CRB check. I am also a Corrective Exercise Specialist and offer support to dancers to stay healthy and sound through their dance career.
