Largess - what is it, and what can you do with it? These are gifts, freely given by you, to whomever, essentially.
Largess can be tokens ranging from the smallest little thing, to the most awesome thing you might ever make.
How do you give out largess?
PRESENTATION BASKETS
These get presented to the Crowns during Presentation Court. They can contain gifts for them personally, and/or small tokens of largess to provide them with, which they can give out as gifts to the populace when they see fit. I have even had one larger item for the Queen (dream pillow), and she selected the smaller matching sachets to distribute to her entourage.
GUILD GIFT BASKETS
From time to time, your Guild might sponsor a gift basket for various reasons. Prize baskets for certain competitions, special category winners, or etc might be some of the occasions. A prize basket is designed to go to an individual, so you wouldn't be needing to donate any quantity of small items, but rather a few small nice things for a single recipient.
LOCAL GROUP GIFT BASKETS
Your barony, shire, or canton might be looking to present a gift basket to new Crowns. This is another opportunity to give items you've made, where they can be used for whatever purpose the Crowns would like. You can combine personal items that are to go directly to the crowns, or add largess items that they might want to distribute. If you like, you can even include a note to them letting them know what your intention was!
PERSONAL LARGESS
You can donate largess to gift baskets, or prize baskets in your guilds or local groups, but did you know you can also just GIVE these lovely little tokens to people? That's right! If you see someone doing something awesome, you can present them with this token and a simple word telling them you thought so. It doesn't have to be handcrafted, if you don't handcraft anything you think might be suitable. You can simply add a personal touch to something. Try it sometime! "I like what you did there, and here's my way of showing appreciation for what you've done."
