The village hall is very versatile with five different rooms of varying sizes all of which can be booked individually or together.

Main Hall

From this picture of the Main Hall you can see one of the hatches and entrances to the kitchen and also the Front Hall from which there is access to Ladies, Gents, & Disabled toilets plus a second entrance to the Kitchen. This Front Hall can be used as a separate small meeting room or reception to the Main Hall.

Front Hall

If you enter from the Front Entrance there is a small lobby and then the separately bookable Front Hall.

The Front Hall is an area which will take 20 to 30 people seated. Leading from this area are the Ladies, Gents and Disabled toilets, and an entrance to the kitchen. There is also a closable serving hatch between this room and the kitchen.

Main Hall

Continuing from the Front Hall through a full width opening there is the Main Hall.

This is an impressive hall with a hardwood floor which is licensed for 200 people, 170 when seated. From this hall there is access to the kitchen and another serving hatch, a bar area, plus doorways through to the Rear Hall and the rear access hallway.

There is a stage, which is normally kept at floor level, with dimensions of 3.6 metres deep and 5.4 metres wide. However, the stage is configurable and, for a charge, can be set at various other heights (300mm and 1.0 metre) and other overall sizes. The Hall measures 10.2 x 17.5 metres overall including the stage area.

For film and slide shows it is possible to black-out the hall.

The main hall also has an induction loop hearing system fitted.

When hiring the Main Hall use of the Front Hall is also included.

Rear Hall.

Access is from either the Main Hall or from the rear access hallway. It also has its own access door to the rear. There are toilets nearby and a small kitchenette for tea and coffee preparation. The room can be used as a separate hall or as an ante-room to the Main Hall. It will seat up to 50 people for meetings.

The Rear Hall can also be used as the reception area for functions.

Upper Gallery Room.

This is a 1st floor room accessed by its own stairs from the Rear Access Hallway. It is suitable for small meetings of up to 20 people. A partition can be removed to form a minstrel`s gallery to the Main Hall.

Toilets (including a disabled toilet) and a small kitchenette for tea and coffee preparation are available on the ground floor.

The room is used for Parochial Church business several mornings a week.

Upper Rear Room.

This is second 1st floor room accessed by its own staircase from the Rear Access Hallway, similarly suited to small meetings of up to 20 people seated. Toilets (including a disabled toilet) and a small kitchenette for tea and coffee preparation are available on the ground floor.

The Kitchen

Accessed from both the Front Hall and the Main Hall, this fully fitted kitchen has equipment for catering for up to 150 people. It has a large range cooker, small microwave, dishwasher, heated cupboard, large fridge, and drinks water heater. Whilst it is a well equipped kitchen we do not provide a full range of cooking pans and some other equipment.

The Bar Area

Accessed from the Main Hall - it even has its own illuminated sign!. We provide most types of drinking glasses suitable for a parties of up to 150 people.


Folding tables, small tables, round tables to seat 8 or 10, and up to 200 chairs are available to use.

There is also a PA system in the Main Hall with CD and Tape Player plus a ceiling mounted projector.

For special occasions there is a theatrical lighting system and additional sound equipment.


The Main Hall is licensed for music, dance, entertainment and performances between the hours of 8.00 to 23.00 and alcohol consumption on the premises between 11.00 to 23.00, all under the control of our Licensed Premises Supervisor. The important words are `consumed on the premises` which includes all alcoholic drinks even when given away free of charge. The hall is a licensed premises.

We also hold licence for the copyrights for playing pre-recorded music and for the showing of films. These licences have rules attached.

The hall is licensed to hold 200 people, but for performances only 170 seated are allowed.

Car Park - The Hall has its own car park for over 60 cars

Below the hall is being decorated for a wedding, using the round tables, with a band setting up on the stage set at the lowest height at the front.
