Swim Lessons 2017

Meet Coach Nick Alden
Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First-Aid Certified

We are pleased to introduce our new swim coach, Nick Alden.  Nick will be teaching private, 1:1 lessons, customized to each client:

-mommy and me infant water safety

-beginning and developing swim skills

-advanced stroke clinic

-water polo technique

Nick is currently a student at West Valley College.  He is an experienced swim instructor, having taught lessons at Almaden Cabana Club for two years. He is also an accomplished water polo player and is a 2016 CCCAA Men's Water Polo Nor-Cal Champion and 3rd place State Finalist. He's looking forward to working for the Saratoga Swimming Club this summer, as he has a passion for sharing his love of swimming and helping create competent new swimmers and inspiring advancing swimmers!


 Private Lessons:  one-on-one, customized instruction

Ages 3 to Adult

Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced Levels

Sessions are 5 lessons, 30 minutes each

Summer Sessions will be scheduled 

Monday - Friday

30-min. time slots available from 

9:30 am-1:00 pm

Swim Instructor is Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First-Aid Certified

Pricing and Payment: 

Members: $156/session

Non-Members: $195/session

Sessions are 5 lessons, 30 minutes each

Swim lessons are non-refundable

Session 1: May 29-June 2*

Session 2: June 5-9

Session 3: June 12-16

Session 4: June 19-23

Session 5: June 26-30 

Session 7: July 10-14

Session 8: July 17-21

*Sessions with holidays will be

prorated for 4 lesson days

        Water Polo Lessons for BeginnersNick, our swim instructor. is also certified by the US Water Polo Association, not to mention a highly decorated water polo player himself!

        Stroke Enhancement Lessons! For anyone who wants to improve their stroke.  After a long, wet winter season, it's nice to get a refresher lesson with tips on making the most of your strokes.

        Personal Training!  For anyone looking for a challenging aquatic workout!  Water offers natural resistance while keeping the weight off of the knees/ankles, allowing for an all-over body workout. Nick will help you develop a routine that you can continue through the rest of the season whenever you find time to get in the pool!

        Infant/Toddler Water SafetyFor anyone wanting to develop your baby's water behavioral instincts, including rolling over onto their back if they should ever accidentally fall in a pool.

        Mommy & Me Lessons!  For mommies and their young one to enjoy time together playing games in the water while your child gets comfortable being in the water.  This is a great way to prepare your young one for swim lessons down the road.

            Special Needs Swim LessonsNick is experienced in working with individuals with special needs helping them to learn to swim and also enjoy safely being in the water.  This class is available to children or adults.

            Competitive Swim PreparationFor anyone who is preparing to swim competitively and wants an edge on the competition!  Includes quicker flip turns, faster block starts, breathing, etc.

            Our instructor, Nick Alden, is a certified lifeguard, CPR/AED certified and first aid certified.  Nick is also certified by the US Water Polo Association and has earned multiple awards and titles in his water polo career!
