In 2026, our group published papers in (i) Tribology International (Publisher: Elsevier, IF: 6.9), (ii) Materials Characterization (Publisher: Elsevier, IF: 6.2), and (ii) ACS Biomaterials Science & Engineering (Publisher: American Chemical Society (ACS), IF: 6.0).
Our group's PhD student (graduated in 2022), Dr. Digvijay Singh, has been awarded the prestigious Ramanujan Faculty Fellowship in 2025. He joined IIT Roorkee as a Ramanujan Faculty (2026). Congratulations!
Nilesh Kumbhar successfully defended his PhD thesis on July 01, 2025, and received his PhD degree at the 13th Convocation of IIT Indore, held on July 12, 2025. At IIT Indore, Nilesh had a total of 10 publications (9 SCI Journals + 1 Book Chapter), of which 5 were first-authored in SCI journals. Congratulations!
In 2025, our group published a paper on thin hard coatings in Surface and Coatings Technology (Publisher: Elsevier, IF: 6.9).
In 2025, our group published a paper in the Transactions of the Indian Institute of Metals (Publisher: Springer Nature). This paper is based on our Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) Project (P.I.: Prof. Santosh S. Hosmani). We thank AICTE IKS for financial support for this research.
In 2025, our group (along with our collaborators from the Dept. BSBE (IIT Indore) and NIMS (Japan)) published a paper in the Journal of Alloys and Compounds (Publisher: Elsevier, IF: 6.7). This paper is Nilesh's 4th first-author paper in SCI journals during his PhD. Congratulations!
In 2025, our group published a book chapter (Chapter No. 6) in Advances in Materials and Processing (Series: Springer Proceedings in Materials (Vol. 63)).

Our group members also contributed to research by Prof. Rupesh Devan's group, which was published in Electrochimica Acta (Publisher: Elsevier, IF: 5.8) in 2024.
Vikesh Kumar successfully defended his PhD thesis on July 09, 2024, and was awarded the PhD degree at the 12th Convocation of IIT Indore on July 13, 2024. During his PhD, Vikesh had a total of 11 journal publications (9 SCI + 2 Scopus), of which 5 were first-authored in SCI journals. Congratulations!
