  • Dr. S.S. Hosmani completed guiding one PhD thesis (Student: Atul Gatey, SP Pune University) on July 09, 2016.
  • Dr. S.S. Hosmani, Dr. P. Kuppusami and Dr. R.K. Goyal have written a Book on 'An Introduction to Surface Alloying of Metals', which is published by Springer in 2014.
  • Prof. G. Gupta, Dr. S.S. Hosmani, Dr. S. Sarkar have authored one Book-Chapter on "Pack Carburizing". This chapter is published in ‘Encyclopedia of Iron, Steel and Their Alloys’ in 2016 (Publisher: CRC Press, Taylor & Francis Group).
  • Dr. S.S. Hosmani got Best Teacher Award (COEP Star Award), which was given by ‘College of Engineering, Pune (COEP)’. Here, he was one of the three best faculties of the year 2013.
  • Some of our papers are cited in the very interesting book titled ‘Fundamentals of Materials Science: The Microstructure – Property relationship using Metals as Model Systems’ written by my Ph.D. supervisor Prof. E.J. Mittemeijer. I found this book as one of the excellent books.
  • Some of our papers are cited in the book titled ‘Iron Systems: Phase Diagrams, Crystallographic and Thermodynamic Data’, Springer.
