The Resident Application Committee (RAC) was formed in January 2016 to ensure that all persons residing in Sandpiper meet the residency requirements as outlined in the Restrictive Covenants for the Sandpiper Property Owners Association.
All new residents in Sandpiper, whether they are new owners, long term guests, renters, or permanent occupants are required to make application to the POA and to have a criminal history background check completed. Our goal is to ensure that the 55+ age requirement is met for each property and that Sandpiper is a community safe from residents with serious criminal histories or sex offenders. In the forms linked on this page (below), you will find policies and procedures for the RAC, an application cover sheet that outlines the process for making application to live in Sandpiper, and the application form.
The Residential Application Committee is made up of volunteers who meet weekly throughout the year. Current volunteers include Jim Murray, Chair; Barbara Main; Russ Winner; Frank Molinaro; and, Matt Rippe (Board Liaison). Please allow at least two weeks from the time you submit your application until you set a date for closing on new property or before you move into a rental property.
Forms you may need are provided below.
If you believe someone has moved into Sandpiper without having a background check, or someone is underage, please use form at the bottom of the list.
