Organization Profiler
SAJAIA Yemen for Development Organization was established in Feb 2014 as charity foundation. Our activities have expanded in 2015 and we included the training unit which concentrated on vocational training of Yemeni youth including fishers and farmers where we performed different training courses and workshops in participation with different local and international organizations. Due our active participation in the field training and youth development, we have been recognized from the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation. In July 2016, we have been included in the “Agriculture Development Cluster unit” in Yemen, which includes more than 23 partners lead by Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation. This includes the following partners; FAO, Spark Organization Holland, Smeps (Small Micro Enterprise Development), Cooperative & Agricultural Credit Bank, Yemen Bank for Reconstruction and Development, Social Development Fund, Yemen Business Club, in addition to, a number of local & international partners.
In such a challenging environment, SAJAIA has decided to contribute to the national and international efforts in responding to the emergent development needs. In this respect, applying a rights-based approach to healthcare and Nutrition services is our mandate to add value in increasing fairness and equity among the population which can, in turn, contribute to efforts aimed at reducing poverty rates and achieving social justice. Setting standards of accountability is essential for our association to improve the livelihood and prosperity of all groups of the population. In SAJAIA we believe that through our contribution we will have a significant role in responding to the Yemeni populations’ needs and serve the people as they deserve.
