A VLE is a CSC operator. She/he is key to success of CSC operations. A good VLE is one who has entrepreneurial traits, strong social commitment and respect within the community. There is a direct correlation between the quality of services offered at CSCs and entrepreneurial abilities of VLEs operating them.
Till date, there are 2.37 lakh VLEs operational under the CSC ecosystem.
The Service Centre Agencies are instrumental in operationalising of Common Services Centers, right from selection of VLEs, to their training and management. SCAs further sensitize the community about the benefits of CSC and promote CSCs in rural areas through state-level and local promotional campaigns. SCAs will integrate suppliers, partners, State government and CSCs and customers into a web-enabled value chain. The key challenges for the SCA would be to manage secured, safe and trusted service delivery channel on one hand and integrate pieces of the service delivery chain on the other. For all these activities, the SCA works closely with CSC SPV, State Designated Agencies, and various service providers.
