Make in India was primarily an inviting appeal of our PM to the globally reputed industries/manufacturers/companies to establish their entities/industries/productive centres in India with a straight forward assurance about the availability of man-power, right environment to grow, and make India a branded place where reliable and durable goods are manufactured on reasonable costs. The responses are encouraging either made by our domestic counterparts or overseas. If it all happens with a required pace and convenience, we may require more than 50 to 100 million skilled human capital by 2030. This is one of the greater tasks before us to prepare and produce skilled human capital within the years to come.
Thoroughly inspired by the ambitious initiative of MAKE IN INDIA envisioned by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, we have focussed on the two sectors i.e. IT and Skill Development in which we can contribute well at all levels specifically by including grass root level participants- in terms of producing skilled workforce up to the expectation in the desired and identified areas.
Describing the need of strengthen our human resource capital, the process must be added by a greater innovation and consistent research and development tools, our Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi stressed on application of all these three components while process of human resource begins. He asserted further put it as a instance that despite performing well in the IT sector, we could not be able to make a Google or any other remarkable innovation in this sector. The best in the world should born in India-desires our Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi, like a true statesman.
The SIETS is having a great desire to fulfil the concept of MAKE IN INDIA and to join hands with the administrative bodies to contribute in terms of skill development training to the youths of our country so as to Make in India may not face any delay due to lack of skilled human resource-as a capital that was promised by the PM globally. The SIETS is confident about the skill development programme that is very much possible to achieve in quantity and quality both for all the 25 sectors identified by the government.
SIETS v/s MAKE IN INDIA
Make in India has an ambitious vision but there are a few obstacles that stand in its way and foremost among them are inadequate infrastructure and manpower. In fact, “In the last decade, the country’s growth was mainly driven by the service sector and manufacturing had taken a backseat. This has resulted in engineers from the best engineering colleges and managers from the best management institutes joining the service sector and not manufacturing. The country on one hand stopped producing skilled technicians, but on the other, is flooded with unemployable university graduates. It is high time that our education system is reformed by introducing a dual education system and vocational schools in line with the developed country model.
Hence, The SIETS is all set to offer our hands towards success of the Make in India-a major new national programme designed by the Govt of India for foster innovation and enhance skill development (the choice area of our’s); besides other main objectives such as facilitate investment, protect intellectual property and build best-in-class manufacturing infrastructure.
