Do you remember growing up exploring the outside world, what it felt like to discover something new? The first time you went to the zoo, aquarium, or park? Do you remember reading about this new thing and drawing pictures of it? Do you remember how much fun it was to discover new things? Well this year you are in luck, because in my classroom we will be diving into a whole new world of discoveries that will help you understand the world we live in. From apples to zebras we will cover all things that are alive and allow you to experience for yourself what it feels like to be a scientist. For those who are interested in the medical field, I was once on track to enter med school and I have a vast knowledge of the human body and how it works. As we go along, you will see the relevance of biology and you’ll hopefully begin to make your own connection to this magnificence world. If you work with me, I will do all I can to help grow as an individual and hopefully pass my class at the same time.
Course Description: Science proficiency depends on acquisition of skills, comprehension, and experiences which combine other disciplines such as technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. When combined, this allows people to live interesting, responsible, and productive lives. In this class you will develop an understanding of how cells function, genetics, and the environment.
