Here are a few tips to consider in order to protect yourself from danger:

• Move around in a group or at least a few friends.
• Always keep your options open. That may mean calling a family member to pick you up.
• Move away from anywhere that trouble is possible.
• Peer pressure can influence you to do something that could be dangerous or wrong. It is OK to say "no"!

Should you fear violence or abuse anywhere, anytime:

• Tell someone you trust.
• Know who to call and where to go for safety.

Know the number of the closest Police Station or call 000.

Online Security

• Think before you post on social network sites such as Facebook.
• Be aware that future employers will check your posts.
• Posting and tagging unflattering photos of yourself friends or family can cause distress.
• Do not tag photos without the consent of those you wish to tag.
• Once information is placed on the internet it is available for ever!
• Google yourself, you may be surprised at what you find!
