winter Mixed Season Nov - Feb

The Disc NW HS Mixed season runs from November - February.  Game schedules are posted on DiscNW and TeamSnap

Communications:  This season we will be using TeamSnap for scheduling and communications.  If you have not already, please create an account for your player on www.teamsnap.com.   There is also an app, if you'd like ultimate info at your fingertips.  You will receive a teamsnap invite to team communications once your player is assigned to a team.

Sign-up on DiscNW PRIOR to tryouts: Click here to sign the DiscNW waivers and register for the Roosevelt JV team.  (After tryouts, DiscNW will move your player to the appropriate team.)  Pay DiscNW season sues on the sliding scale. This is new – DiscnNW has asked that all players pay at point of registration. If your player does not end up playing the Mixed season, DiscNW will refund your payment.

Mixed Season Tryouts/Practice: All players must be registered on DiscNW to participate. Field space is limited so practice will be a little irregular in late Nov. 

Tryouts: There will be two days of tryouts. They are:
Nov 18 at Magnuson from 8pm-9:40pm
Nov 19 at RHS from 7pm-9pm
*Due to the level of interest we've seen this fall, we do foresee that cuts may need to be made.  Mixed season has fewer spots available per gender.  We will have two teams (44-50 players total).

Rosters:
Roster should be set by 11/22

Captain's & Coached Practices (before tryouts):
Captains: 11/7at RHS from 5pm-6:30pm and 11/12 at JAMs from 7pm-9pm
Coached: 11/14 at RHS from -pm-7pm and 11/16 at RHS from 7pm-9pm

**Please keep in mind that some of these dates may change as we solidify coaches and field space. We will continute to update this paget if anything changes.

Regular Season Practices:  We will have two optional practices during the week of Thanksgiving break (exact dates TBD). Regular season practices will commence the week of 11/30. Practice will be held consistently at Roosevelt Field from 7pm to 9pm. We are still working out when practuces will start and the specific days of the week. Once the season commenced, we will use TeamSnap for the schedule.

Games: begin the week of December 6th.  (Usually on Saturdays)

Winter Co-Ed Jerseys:  Our team captains are currently working on a Mixed jersey design. If we do create Mixed jerseys, there will be one light and one dark jersey per player. We anticipate the cost of both jerseys to be about $40. Jerseys are not required and players are welcome to use their existing Bx or Gx jerseys.

Spring Reign Tournament: Each year, the RHS Mixed teams participate in the Spring Reign Tournament in Burlington, WA. This is a 2-day tournament with 3-4 games per day. Last year, Spring Reign was April 25th-26th. Dates for the tournament have not yet been released but will likely be around the same time as last year (so for this year, likely April 24th-25th, 2027).

Historically, many players and families spent the Saturday night of the tournament weekend in Burlington. Once the dates are announced, we will block a group of hotel rooms for players and families at a hotel near the fields. Staying in the hotel is not required for players. Mark your calendars and we will keep you posted. We will need volunteers to help with snacks, tents, tables, coolers and the like. Once the tournament gets closer, we will send out a Sign-up to solicit for this help.

Cost: The cost for the winter season is TBD and is based on roster size and number of coaches.  It will be around $300 (not including a jersey).   Please reach out if the cost will be prohibitive for your player, there is help!
