Bx Ultimate 

Ultimate Frisbee is a Club Sport at Roosevelt High School which provides opportunities year-round to play Ultimate.  The league is run by Disc NW and the Roosevelt program is run by parent volunteers - see the Team Jobs page to see where support is needed.  Information about the Gx program can be found here. 

Fall Season (Aug -Nov)

The Disc NW Fall Highschool Bx season runs from August 25th - November 8th.  There will be 2 captains practices before the start of the regular season in mid August (time + location is TBD).  Regular practices start August 25th and happen Monday - Friday @ 4:15 on View Ridge Playfield.  Try outs will be August 27th at 3:45 at View Ridge Field and on August 28th at 4:15 at View Ridge Field.

Registration for Boys HS Fall '25 season with DiscNW is now open.  To register:

1.  Go here: https://www.discnw.org/e/2025-fall-hs-bx-school-team-league/register

       2.  Choose the Roosevelt JV team.  (You will be reassigned after try-outs)

       3.  Select 'pay by check'. You will go back and pay later if your player is offered a spot.

       Note:  Try-out related communications will come from the Google distribution list and/or via DiscNW (for those registered).  

  Please make sure you're on one of those lists.    

  Players will not be allowed to participate in tryouts unless waivers are signed.

  We ask if you try out that you commit to being at practice and/or games 4 afternoons per week through October.

The calendar will be updated with tryout details.  TeamSnap is used for communication and scheduling after Tryouts. You can also refer to Disc NW for more information.  

Program Fees 

Ultimate is a club sport with professional coaches.  Upon placement on a team you will be asked to pay a team fee, in addition to the DiscNW fee.  Fees vary, as they are based on team size and available coach hours, but range around $300 for the fall season. Scholarships are available.

Jerseys

New jersey kits are being designed for the 2025-2026 season.  Stay tuned.  

Parent Volunteering

As always, it takes many parent volunteers to run this program.  Please consider joining the committee and volunteering. We need parents to get involved and help organize for the fall season, now is a good time to learn the ropes! Winter Mixed Season (Dec-Apr)

We have a Varsity and JV mixed teams that participated in the Winter Mixed (coed) High School League. In Spring, the coed team(s) compete in the Spring Reign tournament, one of the largest youth tournaments in the nation. 

Spring Season (March-May)

The Boys Varsity and JV players collectively join 'free-agent' teams that compete in the DiscNW High School Boys Club League. This is a more casual opportunity to participate in HS ultimate. More information here.
