Waste, recycling and composting

Please help keep the roadway easy to navigate by ensuring your carts are set out at curbside in the evening before pickup day, and bring them in by the end of the day after pickup is complete. Pickup days are:

• Every Tuesday: Green and Blue carts

• Every second Wednesday: Black carts

• Please note that winter and summer have different collection schedules. Please see The City of Calgary's website for more information.

If you have extra compost, recycling or garbage, put it in bags next to the appropriate carts for pickup, or keep it until the following week.

Hazardous waste (chemicals, gasoline, etc.) must be brought to a Household Hazardous Waste drop-off centre, not left out with garbage.

Electronics must be recycled. This can be done at Electronics Recycling centres across the city.
