VEX Robotics System stands as a non-competitive learning system for members of the NYRC.
A highly versatile metal-based robotics system, VEX EDR offers students a rich and exciting platform to immerse themselves in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) through the fun of building robots, stimulating real life situations with advanced tooling techniques.
VEX Robotics System uses ROBOTC Programming Language, which is a graphic based programming software that aids programmers in minimising syntax error, with simplified commands such as “Forward”, “LineTrack”, and “Repeat” loops.
The easy to use ROBOTC editor includes smart code indenting, automatic code completion, code formatting, and other tools to make programming even easier. Program robots using industry standard C-programming ROBOTC’s real-time debugger allows users to run code line-by-line and monitor values on sensors, motors, and encoders in real time.
Alternatively, VEX can be remotely controlled using a wireless controller.
