You may have just expected exactly what NYRC will be presenting to you during the upcoming open house!
NYRC will be presenting to you the Sumobot Challenge as the 1-minute challenge this year!
Lets zoom in and see how the game work out.
The game is powered by Bluetooth Technology of your mobile phone, via. an application called EV3 Simple Remote
(Avaliable on Playstore for Android powered devices: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.EV3.Simple&hl=en).
You may want to pre-download the application before heading down for some fun @ our booth (alternatively, approach any of the NYRC members on duty).
Gameplay:
1) You will take control of one of the pre-built bots of your choice, while your opponent does the same. (There will be a total of 4 working bots available on that day, each of different design). Tap on "Connect" (see diagram below) (*take note of the Device name of your preferred bot).
Follow the procedures on your phone and the bot's processor to connect. (Take a look at this video as a demonstration using an iPhone)
The NYRC members on duty will guide you through the connection process if you require any assistance.
