Are high schools replacing natural turf with artificial turf?

Some evidence suggests there are more high school athlete injuries on artificial turf than on grass. Are many high schools replacing grass fields with artificial turf? Compare high school fields of today to the fields ten years ago by viewing the reflectance in band 4 in LANDSAT 5 or band 5 in LANDSAT 8 . Artificial Turf will have low reflectance in band 4 where as green grass will show high reflectance . Use Google Earth to find the longitude and latitude of each high school. This may work well as a team or class project.
