Michal Reinstein
Currently leading research and data science teams as Chief Scientist at SpaceKnow, Inc., (What is SpaceKnow?) responsible for design, implementation, and deployment of computer vision and machine (deep) learning cloud-based solutions to automated analytics of satellite imagery.
Received the Ing. (M.Sc.) and Ph.D. degrees in engineering of aircraft information and control systems from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Czech Technical University in Prague (CTU), in 2007 and 2011, respectively.
With Ph.D. in Aerospace and track record of publications in robotics worked for 14+ years as assistant professor & researcher at the Center for Machine Perception, Dept. of Cybernetics CTU in Prague,
Co-founder of the Center for Robotics and Autonomous Systems (see DARPA Sub-T Challenge).

Previous experience with project management as co-chair of NATO Research Task Group SAS-097.
Current research interests are in application of machine (deep) learning, computer vision, signal processing, interferometry and spatio-temporal data fusion to optical multispectral and SAR satellite imagery aiming for automated large-scale object detection, semantic segmentation, extraction of insights and patterns of life.
