Here are some pictures illustrating one of the first puzzles I ever invented. 

You will need:

8 small wood cubes from a crafts supply store. 

Some strong, thin, rip-proof material for hinges.

A tube of non-toxic, contact type glue.

If you look carefully at the images you should be able to figure out the hinge pattern. Done correctly, the 8 blocks fold up into one large block with no hinges showing.
