Dear High School Art Teachers:

The leaders of Region 10 hope you had an inspiring summer and that you've returned to school with renewed energy and creativity! Please consider bringing your students to participate in our annual MENTORING PROGRAM and letting the exposure to our professional artist-mentors creatively invigorate your students and you!

Since 1997, this enrichment program has expanded the world of art outside the classroom for hundreds of Long Island art students of NYSATA members. Art teachers have the opportunity to have small groups of high school students mentored by some of our East End professional artists. This enrichment program has been warmly received over the years. We appreciate your support of our unique Region 10 program. NYSATA members' participation has helped us work as partners and expand many of our programs into an enriching experience for your students and you.

If you've participated in the past, the format has not changed. High school students (grades 10, 11, 12) and their chaperone(s) arrive at the assigned artist's studio at approximately 9:00 A.M., with the day ending around 1:30 P.M. You and your students are asked to 'brown bag' it. The artist is not expected to provide refreshments. The number of students is EIGHT per professional artist due to small personal studios. Keeping school budgets in mind the registration fee is still only $275 per group of 8 students. Artists will be assigned on a "first come/first served" basis. If possible, requests for a particular artist will be honored. Register by Sept. 27. Please submit payment by Oct. 11 (we understand that POs and Arts-in-Ed payments may arrive shortly after that date).

Want to register? Concerns or Questions? Contact Zita Rosen at zita31845@yahoo.com. Invoices will be provided via email once your selection is confirmed.

Your participation in our programs is always appreciated and your continued support makes it all worthwhile!

PAYMENT INFORMATION – Due 10/11/19

The fee of $275 per group may be paid by check/purchase order or through BOCES Arts-in-Education.

Make Checks payable to NYSATA Region 10 and mail to NYSATA Region 10 Treasurer Patricia Stork, 16 Lee Street, Huntington, NY 11743.
