Guest artist at the Patchogue Arts Council (PAC): Andres Gallardo:
Andres Gallardo, affectionately known as “The Gem Guy,” is a 35-year-old Panamanian-American artist from Brentwood, NY. He is the visionary behind The Gem Project, an initiative rooted in the belief that art can inspire kindness and connection. GEM stands for Giving Everyone Moments and is a reflection of Andres’ mission to spread the art of giving across the globe. Through this project, Andres creates original artworks and leaves them in public spaces for people to discover, transforming ordinary moments into acts of unexpected generosity. His goal is simple yet powerful: to encourage selflessness, creativity, and compassion within communities. Driven by passion, love, and a commitment to social justice, Andres uses his art as a voice for change. His work serves not only as a visual expression but also as activism bringing positive messages and uplifting energy to those who encounter his art. Each “gem” is a gift meant to spark connection and inspire action.
