SCPHN Competency Framework (NMC 2004)

These professional competencies may be signed throughout the year. You may sign as a student that you have observed or practiced the requirement (or simulated with your mentor or CPT if there was not an available opportunity).

Your CPT may sign that you have achieved these throughout the year, it may be that you are required to revisit those that you have achieved earlier in the year as your skills develop, your CPT may add comments.

To further demonstrate your progression in your specialist area of practice, please lead the reader to supplementary evidence in your portfolio to further demonstrate the achievement of the competency (one piece of evidence may meet a number of the standards). These elements of evidence can support the final mark of the portfolio, ensure they meet level 7 marking criteria to be useful to your final grade.
