How to get to Playa Amatecampo

From the Airport:

Drive towards San Salvador for about 4 kilometers [stay in the left lane] until you see the sign for "La Libertad/San Luis Talpa". Carefully make a left turn and [*] continue along this road for about 3 kilometers until it ends at an intersection with the CA2 Highway.

Make a left turn onto Highway CA2 and continue about 1 kilometer to the first left turn entering the town of San Luis Talpa. Be careful making the left turn [you must go slightly past the intersection before turning off CA2 and into the right side of the road entering the town].

Drive straight through San Luis Talpa following the one-way road through the business district and continue across the bridge at the end of town that goes over the Comalapa River. Follow the main paved road towards Playa La Zunganera, being very careful to slow down for the "speed bumps" along the way.

Continue to the end of the road [about 8 kilometers] and just before coming to the ocean at Playa Zunganera, turn right on the gravel road that parallels the shoreline. The entry gate to Playa Amatecampo is about 400 meters down this road; speak to the gatekeeper if he is present inorder to enter the Lotificacion and visit Rancho Yokota at Lote 70A.

From San Salvador:

Follow signs out of San Salvador towards the Airport for about 40 kilometers.

Make a right turn at the intersection for La Libertad/San Luis Talpa and follow the instructions above [*] continue . . . . . except make a right turn onto Highway CA2 ...
