The Software as a Service (SaaS) Funadmentals course is focused on imparting the basic knowledge of how Software as a Service fits in Cloud Computing and what workload characteristics are best suited for an SaaS solution. It starts by looking at the Cloud from a business perspective: what problems can the Cloud solve. It defines Cloud Computing and describes the various implementation services and models of the Cloud. It looks at the specifics of SaaS, focusing on the benefits and risks. It finishes up with an exploration of SaaS typical usage and a market overview.
