Here Is how The System Works
Tornado Warning:
Alert Tone of 4-5 Minutes.
Whoop Tone Is to Signal All Clear.
Hurricane Warning and Spike taking things:
Alternating Wail Tone of 3 Minutes.
Siren Will Sound 2 Minutes after previous signal.
Whoop Tone Will Sound After the danger has passed.
Changeling Invasion:
Wail Tone of 5 Minutes.
Wail Tone MAY be pulsed.
Whoop Tone Will Signal the All Clear.
Dangerous Incident to Steer Clear:
Fast Wail Tone up to 2 Minutes.
If Electronic Siren Is In Vicinity of the Incident, then it will Sound in Alternate Wail.
Whoop Tone Will Sound when danger is over,
Fire:
Alternating Steady Tone of 3-4 Minutes.
Firefighting Ponies will be dispatched to the Siren playing in that tone.
Tone May sound at Certain Fire Stations.
Tone May be Pulsed.
Whoop Tone May Sound.
Blizzard or Winter Storm:
Alert or Wail Tone of up to 2-3 Minutes.
Quickly Get to safety.
Watch out for black ice.
Whoop Tone Will Sound once the storm has passed,
Severe Thunderstorm:
Voice Warning.
Listen to instruction from electronic siren.
Tune to the PTC Channel for EAS Details.
There is no all clear tone.
Noon Whistle:
Westminster Chime.
Occurs every day (except on the first Wednesday of the month).
Noon Whistle is how it implies, sirens sound at 12 PM.
Don’t be alarmed, it is just meaning “it’s lunch time”.
Test:
Alert Tone of 3 Minutes.
Test Occurs on the First Wednesday of Every Month.
Monthly Test Starts at Noon.
Every 15 Minutes before the test (starting at 11 AM), Westminster Chimes play.
