This past weekend we sent our three seniors - Mycah Braxton, Robert Dodson and Courtney Peterson - away from Duke in their robes to move on and move ahead with life outside of the university and outside of the fraternal life they have known these past four years. This is an excellent time to reflect on the fraternity as a lifelong endeavor, and with that in mind, I share with you what Lisa Gutermuth has shared with me, an excellent post from the blog Fraternal Thoughts - Thoughtful conversation on the future of the fraternity movement. The most recent post is entitled The Giving Fraternity, and provides some thoughts more eloquently than I could have written on the fraternity as a lifelong but ever changing institution. Please give the entry a read and feel free to leave your thoughts here.
The author of the blog, John Shertzer, will also be leading the Leadership Institute this June at our convention.
Yours in the bonds,
Laura King
