The mission of the Chi Delta Alumni Association (CDAA) is twofold.
First and foremost, the CDAA serves as an organization for the alumni members of the Psi Upsilon fraternity, Chi Delta chapter, at Duke University. The Chi Delta chapter of Psi Upsilon was established in 1973 and the CDAA was formed a few years later once brothers had graduated. This organization provides a mechanism for organization and communications of these alumni; this organization keeps this group of alumni together as a continually active body post college graduation.
Second, the CDAA serves the undergraduate chapter of Psi Upsilon (the Chi Delta chapter) at Duke University by raising funds and providing services and assistance to the chapter as deemed appropriate by the organization membership. The organization provides funding for homecoming gatherings, alumni reunions, and assistance for chapter needs such as international convention delegation fees and expenses or capital improvements for the chapter dorm at Duke. Our most significant assistance though is provided in the form of an undergraduate scholarship program. Scholarships are provided to undergraduates once per year at homecoming based on a rigorous application and evaluation process.
Psi Upsilon members aspire to moral, intellectual, and social excellence in themselves as they seek to inspire these values in society. The vision for the future of Psi Upsilon is to continue building a fraternity "with the best meaning of "membership," that serves its members at each stage in their life worthy of their time, talent, and treasure, and to continue building a fraternity that supports members in their personal and professional pursuits." (Psi U for Life, 2019)
The CDAA board supports these values through our work to serve and involve members post-graduation, well into their adult lives. The CDAA also values...[discuss which values we want to include on the site during the CDAA meeting]
