Comparative Age Pyramid Church of Ireland & remaining Protestant Episcopleans in 1926

This population pyramid shows both the make up of the Pre War of Independence Church of Ireland and Church of England and the remaining combined Church of Ireland and Church of England population in 1926. The headline groups are young males (virtually) all British army. Many of the 1911 Church of Ireland females were family members of this group and when the Army left these children went also. An analysis of 126 Church of Ireland 5 year old girls in 1911 abstracted from the online census shows that 50 came from families with at least one person (usually the father) born outside Cork. Further analysis shows that most of these fathers are members of the British administration. This represents 39% of the cohort. While it is accepted that like is not strictly being compared with like in that every one in 1926 is fifteen years older than 1911 but the general point is valid.
