This table shows those who described themselves as Church of Ireland, and those who described themselves as Church of England in 1911. An approximate figure for native decline, the Church of Ireland population in 1911 is compared with the remaining population in 1926, though this is fraught with danger as exact like is not being compared with like. However, it does show a somewhat different picture to the usually accepted view, with Galway having the largest percentage decline, and Donegal having the lowest decline at 18%.
