Q: What medical records are required to begin services with BEAM?
We require:
Documentation of a recent physical from the pediatrician
Up-to-date immunization record (or letter of explanation if your child has not received immunizations for personal or religious reasons)
Q: What is BEAM's policy on allergies?
Any and all allergies should be noted in your child's files - regardless of the severity. Please fill out an Allergy Action Plan which outlines treatment if necessary.
Q: What should I do if my child is sick?
You should keep your child home from group if they are experiencing:
A fever above 99.9°
A persistent cough that is unusual for the child
A runny nose with yellowish or green discharge
A rash of any kind
Vomiting or diarrhea
Any other signs of illness
You should call your service provider to discuss if services should take place or to cancel/reschedule.

Q: What happens if I have to cancel a visit or group session?
Please contact your service coordinator or the office if you need to cancel a scheduled service. Providers may be able to reschedule visits.
Q: What if there is a snow storm?
Project BEAM follows the same weather and emergency cancellation guidelines as the Billerica Public Schools.
