These are the replacement for the famous Yamaha NS-10s, which have probably been used to mix more hits over the past 30 years than any other speaker. You can still buy used NS-10s, but you have to buy a good power amp, so they get pricey. To tell the truth, I have never been in love with the NS-10s. Just my taste, but I have heard very good things about these new HS Series studio monitors.
