A good decibel meter comes in very handy when setting up for mixing. You should mix at a level between 80 and 90 decibels
to get the flattest E.Q. response. If you mix at too loud a volume, your mixes will sound thin with weak bass on other systems.
Too quiet, and the reverse happens; your mixes will sound muddled and bassy when played back on other systems.
