Melanie is my best friend, she had suffered from seizures ever since she was a young child. Her Doctor tried all kinds of different combos of anti seizure drugs but nothing seemed to work. As a young woman she could not drive, could not participate in college parties etc which impacted her life tremendously. However, she was chosen to be a part of a study which involved getting brain surgery. As of a result of it, she was seizure free, no meds, she could drive and have social life. Even now, 20 years later, she can not thank enough doctor who performed brain surgery on her and changed her life forever.
Would be great to know where this is published. Many people who have a surgery do not have those positive results. It is good to hear that she has had such success. What advice does she have for health care providers who do take care of individuals with epilepsy. Ruth Nemire
